On Friday night, 23rd June, I had the pleasure and privilege of seeing Thomas Dolby perform live at the Scala in London in his first UK gig for 14 years (and I was actually at his last one too, back in 1992).

No band this time though, instead it was an impressive solo set from Mr Dolby, including an amazing live looped version of The Flat Earth that he built up layer by layer until the full song we all love emerged.

Even a few technical glitches couldn’t spoil what was a great night and a truly memorable concert. Still cutting edge after all these years.
